My Top 10 Overlooked Videos!

A few weeks ago, I posted my 150th YouTube video, which should be a cause for celebration. But since I’m a bitter old man, all I could think of were the videos that didn’t get as much attention as I thought they deserved. So here’s my Top Ten List of Videos That Should Have Way More Views on YouTube! Enjoy!

10.

Yes, I know I just posted this one a few weeks ago. But come on, it should still have more views than that!

9.

The first video I shot with my current camera, I had a lot of technical problems with the sound and learning to edit in hi-def - this is my only video shot in full HD. It’s kind of slow-paced but there are a few terrific bits in there if you stick with it.

8.

I thought this would be a bigger hit than it was too. It’s a parody of celebrity stalkers with an outstanding performance by Charles Wetzel. I even made a “real” highfivenick channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/highfivenick) with a dozen videos to watch, sort of an “extended universe” kind of thing.

7.

This one was fun and creepy if you’re not a fan of clowns…

6.

This was my Christmas video from 2009. Another hilarious performance by Charles and it turned out really well.

5.

I loved making this one, it was a fun gimmick that no one had ever done before. But I guess if you’re young, a lot of the jokes and references might go over your heads…

4.

Another video with a fun gimmick, maybe a bit nerdy but I thought it was pretty funny. It was also one of the first times I incorporated so many effects into a video, with mixed results.

3.

I know everyone loved my “Incredibly Poor” rap but I think “Sweet Sweet P*ssy” is just as good. It’s simply the most bizarre video I’ve ever made.

2.

I think I was asking too much of people to sit through ten minutes of my antics, so this one didn’t get much attention. And to be fair, it does have a lot of recycled skits (including “Crazy Michael’s Used Time Machines”) so if someone were to watch all my videos, they might be disappointed. But I put a lot of effort into getting all the material together, pacing it out and keeping it from getting boring.

1.

Okay, I’m bitter about this one - we put a HUGE amount of effort into it, and I promoted it endlessly. I tortured my poor actors in blazing heat and pouring rain, all in between shooting “Stupornatural 2”. And in the end, it just got completely overlooked. I’ll admit, it turned out a lot darker and not as funny as I expected, but anyone that likes my work needs to watch it.

So there we have it, my Top 10 List. Comments, suggestions, complaints, criticism?
